Not sure that the thrust of epublishing is all about the writer. Publishers are still a hugely important part of the mix, both as a filter, and sometimes (though more rarely now, admitedly) as a financier. And it’s definitely publishers who are best positioned to force change in the diriisbutton market. Without them, all readers, and authors eventually, would likely fall victim to various demands of Amazon.
